Legend claims that the northern lights were trapped in the rocks along the coasts of Labrador. A drifting Eskimo warrior found these rocks and freed the lights with his spear. Many of these lights are still trapped within the stone today, which is why these are known as the beautiful gemstone labradorite. The golden lustre of this pendant reflects this legend.
