White Sage- Smudging is a Native ritual used to cleanse, purify and balance an environment, yourself or others, including special crystals. Sage is often used before ceremonial or meditation to clear space, or during any major life change such as beginning a relationship or moving into a new home.
To Smudge-light one end of the bundle and allow it to smolder. Set in a heat-resistant plate or shell. Rub your hands in the smoke, then gather it up over yourself as if washing your body. Repeat this for other people or items that you wish to cleanse.
